When we were at URE last sunday (10-23-05) There were a bunch of rent-a-cars at the parking lot on 553. One we got in the woods we noticed a bunch of guys with backpacks walking up the trails. There were at least a dozen spread out on all the trails with clipboards. They were walking around taking notes. We asked one guy what they were doing and he said he was just taking a walk. Another guy said thast they were doing a trail survey for the Forest Service. What gives?
