Had a pretty good turnout for the Saturday part of the work weekend. Had about 15 rigs and 25 people. Good to see some new faces out and see some friends I haven't seen in ages! Saw awa0728, RQ, Radioman, SPOA87YJ, Reed, Rockeater and I'm sure others I missed. Passed getstucksome, GMAC and BIG G1118 on the way out. Just a trash pickup day and good thing. It was hotter than Hades out there and the dust was a devil as usual! Had a group of several Cherokees pass us just as we exited the trail onto the FS road and the dust was so thick we had to pull over and wait, couldn't see a thing. Rode Dickey Bell, Falls Dam, Dutch John, Slabpile, Rocky Mt and Daniel picking up trash. Had a couple of Cherokees that made the first ledge on Daniel without lockers but lots of skinny pedal :) Just another day in paradise!
 
Definately a good day of riding(minus the heat!). Had some trouble keeping the rig running on Kodak, gotta love that carb :(. I'm sure some of yall saw me get dragged off Daniel later in the day when the starter finally let go, but all in all it was a good day. We snapped a few pics along the way, I'll try and post a few tomorow.
 
Yeah, I talked with John about your carb issues. Easy fix, pane it! Do some searching and see what you come up with. No more puking out on inclines, bouncing, side hills. You will be happy with it. We also talked about some things you can do to help now. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the response Chip. I've been running my mouth about looking into something. I was planning on just running it for a while BUT, its worse than I thought. Like you say maybe they're somethings I could look into for now that will help it stay running. I don't wanna replace a starter everytime I take the rig out :). I'll be in touch.
 
cyjkrawler were u with the small group (like 4) with the JEEPSTER, rubi or 2, and chero? were u the guy that said "30day tag" haha i wish it wasnt but they havent sent me my new 1 yet. i had a FREAKIN BLAST this was my first time drivin my OWN jeep and only had 2 get 1 lil tug from matt (getstucksome) on DANIEL cause i just couldnt pop up the back side where it goes str8 up then flattens off a lil but damn if i didnt try my best to get it on my own. pics comin up soon i hope
 
GMAC, CYJKRAWLER was leading our group...red YJ, red XJ, green XJ, and a black TJ bringin up the rear.... I think your thinking of Richards group(the jeepster)
 
No, I didn't see the tag, I was too busy looking at your passenger :) I was with the group towing the red YJ out at the end of our day, about 4, you guys pulled off the trail to let us by (thanks) and I stopped to talk to BIG G for a sec. Sounds like the new acquisition did good for it's first trip!

Me TOO! She seemed to be standing on air taking pics while wearing a bikini, I never saw a Jeep!:D

Turns out that was me, RQ (Richard) in the Jeepster. Now you know who I am and I at least know that your girl is HOT so we'll stop and talk the next time our path's cross.:driver:
 
haha. sounds good 2 me. she loved ur jeep, i told her i wanted a pic and she took 2. and cyjkrawler she's in love with your big ass cj "are u gonna make yours that big? i hope so. good cause i wanna complain that its hard 2 get into and out of" haha that was a lil convo shortly after. what a girl i got hey guys? :-D

Uh, where's the pix of the bikini clad super model? :(

Would have loved to attend, but had a "little" issue with diesel running out of the towrig! :mad: Still working on it, but should have it done in time for the August workday (there IS one scheduled, right?)

OH yeah, a big one that we'll need a couple of big groups for both days. August 19 and 20.
 
hey guys,
thanks for stopping and introducing yourself, everyone with you had great looking Jeeps. SPOA87YJ, it was nice seeing you up there representing ASU, sorry to see the Jeep didnt make it out on its own power. Here are some pics we snapped, there are probably some repeats between GMACs and mine, just thought i would throw the link up here since i just got them on Webshots. anybody else have some good pics from this weekend?

Yea man, we'll have to get up together and wheel sometime, hopefully I'll have a working starter this go round...
