not a huge basketball fan at all...

but just watching segments of them dominate excites me.

they are looking on point right now.

i also hate coach k...but he has done a damned good job so far.

i watched that game last night, and the difference is that they actually play defense. the other team looked so overmatched it was silly. they have always had the best talent, but they only wanted to dunk and make the NBA highlight play. now they play defense and pass well. lets just see if they can keep it up.

Hate him or not,he is doing a great job of placating egos and inspiring defensive effort. Kobe diving on the floor for a loose ball...what?

Also, this summer's version has three important improvements:
1) No crybaby headcases that have no concept of team ball. I'm looking at you Gilbert Arenas.
2) Big guards that are willing and able to fight through screens like Billups and Kobe. Hinrich and CP3, as good as they were, just couldn't adapt to that aspect of the international game.
3) Jason Kidd.

^ all great points

and don't forget one of the biggest points...which the OBNOXIOUS Bill Walton points out every time one of the two of them shoots...they actually have two outside shooters:

Mike Miller
Michael Redd

some of the others, like Carmelo, can shoot as well...but the previous teams have lacked true shooters...

you may not like Coach K...but he's a heck of a coach, and I hope this team shows that to the world...

with the need for outside shooters, and Coach K running things, I would really like to have seen J.J. Reddick firing up some jumpers...

Greg

jj got cut, along with durant... i think he would have actually helped this team a bunch, a pure spot up shooter would go a long way in international play.
