UV damage to straps…. How to protect?

I have a bronco carcass sitting on my trailer and threw a big tarp over it and the straps to minimize UV exposure to the straps.
Am I use 3M’s 303 Lrotectant on them to restore some of the straps’s flexibility and save their integrity? Or does faded, UV damage = dead straps?

Any other options? Straps have to stay there as I move the trailer and do t want to lose the body.

I purposely used crappy straps vs my good ones, but hoping to keep them fully usable.

Thanks.

If you don't move the trailer anywhere beyond your house, like moving to get it out of the way, I'd stick some cheap straps on it. I don't have any other help to offer. Mine are already kept up.

Trailer is at offsite storage and I bring it home occasionally. I may end up buying another (larger) tarp from HF just to cover them.
