this was Dec last yr, I ALMOST dropped into it from the top of that climb out, I think I would have been 80% under water if I did lol

I dropped in the side and crossed it and hood still went under, never thought the "shallow" end would get that deep haha

that red clay mud can really clog up your radiator, it was a good thing the Outpost has a hose you can use for $1

seeing all these xj's in NC wheeling makes me want one again

crapet?!?!?!?
dude if your gonna be in stuff like that, do what i did. rip it all out, sand it good, clean it with acitone and roll on that truck bed liner. nothing stick to it and you can hose it out.
works like a charm!
its like $45 a gallon at walmart, but you gotta get the Duplicolor, the other stuff sucks balls.

yeah ditch that carpet, if you leave it in the jeep wet, its going to take forever to dry and most likely get moldy and SMELL

I took mine out after the first time it got wet, linex'd now

yeah if it gets good and wet you'll never get rid of that nasty moldy smell

yea it is so nasty in the jeep i cant take the smell to drive it and really dont wanna pull ll that crap out its even in the seats i had the back seat down too

:confused:its funny how you see pic after pic of people "checking" out that hole..... Funny thing is its not going to just magically be any shallower... just swallows rig after rig after rig.:shaking:

some whole ate my truck about 2 months ago. never been there, didnt know how deep it was. i asked this fat chick in a cherokee and she said it would only come over my 33's
yeah right! my 77 F150 with a 4" lift and 33" TSLs was swamped. it came over the hood and flooded everything!
i made it in the side you were coming up, then came out to the left of that, but once i cut the truck off that was it. Ford had this great idea to put the distrubitor in the front of the block, it dont like mud!

I did the same thing. i have been to URE b4 but thought the mud hole was this deep:

but it was really this deep:

man seats too?
only thing i know to tell you is lots of dawn dish detergent, and a pessure washer to the whole inside. tape you a trash bag over the dash amd stuff. gonna take a long time to dry though

luckily i already removed the carpet and herculined the floor (absolutely a must!!) but the seats took 2 months, 1 bottle of furbreeze, and 2 packs of air fresheners to get ta stink out. the worst part was that was right when i got there so i had to spend the rest of the day in wet jeans and on a wet seat. i always pack a change of clothes now even on day trips!!

i remember i burried my xj. took the whole passenger side in.......along with an alternator. it sucked....i had to get pulled out by a toyota :(

Here is a rare shot of the Soup Bowl (or Toilet Bowl as some call it because of the smell) bone dry back in 07:

I can bet some of you probably don't even recognize it from that picture compared to how it looks today.

i remember this! the mud part was barely the size of a 4wheeler!
