the alt. on an xj does not like the mud.

I ate dinner with this crew Friday night at The Outpost. The girl has GORGEOUS hair! But I know it was hot and I guess it needed to be pulled back. I also got to see Ol Red come up Kodak Saturday. He took the middle line, had to smoke the slicks a couple of times :), but made it up a lot easier than some other, more built rigs!

yea the mud hole sucked but i got it running after 5 hours lol that happen friday and it did good saturday...if anyone has pics from kodak rock let me know really would like to see them

been there.... well not in 3' of red water but just from a mild creek crossing.... makes you wonder what chrysler was thinking when they put the alt that low.....

^^ all of us with 3.2 Isuzu's are wondering the same thing too.
Damn isuzu is worldwide in some of the harshest places too, but alternator that low. Hmnnnnnn

yea the alt is fine just got a little water in it but what really hurt it was the computer and all i still cant get the wipers to turn off lol going over to 95GranZJ house in a min to pull the axle apart and the transfer case to get all the mud out it is full and was running out all weekend

ha ha you are a crazy dude going back through that full of water. i know you know how deep it is because i remember pulling you up the 2nd half when you were high centered in the middle of that climb out of the mud hole. Great pictures!!

some whole ate my truck about 2 months ago. never been there, didnt know how deep it was. i asked this fat chick in a cherokee and she said it would only come over my 33's
yeah right! my 77 F150 with a 4" lift and 33" TSLs was swamped. it came over the hood and flooded everything!
i made it in the side you were coming up, then came out to the left of that, but once i cut the truck off that was it. Ford had this great idea to put the distrubitor in the front of the block, it dont like mud!

damn lol i got 4 1/2 lift and 33's i had to dry out the distrubitor and wires but i still cant get my wipers to turn off it sucks

haha just take the fuse out till it starts raining..lol

i cant seem to find it lol there isnt one under the hood or the dash i think someone by passed it or something like they did everything else in this jeep

I hear other fellers use a stick to check how deep before they head on in. Sounds like a good idear.
So I'm tole
:huggy:

Does that mud hole still smell like horse:poop:? I went through there over 2 years ago and it took forever to get the smell out. I have stayed away ever since.

crapet?!?!?!?
dude if your gonna be in stuff like that, do what i did. rip it all out, sand it good, clean it with acitone and roll on that truck bed liner. nothing stick to it and you can hose it out.
works like a charm!
its like $45 a gallon at walmart, but you gotta get the Duplicolor, the other stuff sucks balls.
