Uwharrie area Thefts/Break Ins

I wanted everyone to be aware that last night (Dec. 3) someone broke into the Mountain Market and stole approximately $5,000 worth of stuff. They didn't take any money as far as we can tell, but they stole a shitload of cigarettes and a few cases of drinks. Apparently, they broke into the Eldorado Outpost but were deferred by their alarm system. There were also reports of a few other break ins in New Hope (Coggins Mine Rd.) and towards Asheboro. If anyone knows anything about these break ins please call the Montgomery County Sheriffs Dept. at 910-572-1313. And for the record, the Mountain Market will have a security alarm very, very soon.

Someone broke into my Jeep two nights ago and took my Ipod and a camo jacket...damn coons
 
It's the season guys, add to that the shape the economy is in, it's gonna continue to get worse. Before long, if it ain't happening already, people will be doing things in hopes of getting caught, just to have a place to lay their head and get three squares a day.

I was just going to say... break-ins and robberies around here have tripled as of late. Make sure to arm yourselves.
 
Interestingly... the only good side to the sharp drop in the value of scrap metal... is that the rate of theft of copper pipes and cat converters has fallen way down.
No longer worth it for the Meth Heads to rip that shit off.
so of course now they're back to more typical commodities...
