Uwharrie Camping Question

My 7 year old daughter wants to go tent camping, and I want to plan a camping trip and do a little "easy" wheeling with her. It has been about 20 years since I camped at Uwharrie. Wheres the best place?

Arrowhead has bath rooms and showers. Electric hook ups and a grill at most sites, and is close to the lake.
Or..if you're more adventurous, there are plenty of free spots along most of the trails.

Thanks for the info! I was curious if you could still camp anywhere on the trails. Being her first time we may stay at Arrowhead. How far are the entrances to the trails?

Yep^^ You'll have to ride gravel roads for a mile or 3 in just about any direction..depending on which trails you wanna ride.
 
Falls Dam is my favorite place to camp. At night time a few idiots gather around the mud holes but I've not heard anyone offensive.
 
aarow head is the best, there are some nice spots up by the bath house. and if your taking a 7 year old the closer the better. its also a nice short walk to the lake and dock.
