It is. I have some software on my Pocket PC phone that allows it to create a wireless high-speed hotspot at will. It will set up an ad-hoc wireless network and anyone that connects to it can use it's data connection to connect to the web. I have used it to connect my home network to the internet when the wife takes the laptop (and our cellular card) with her. I don't have any landlines run to my house, so all of our internet connections are wireless high-speed cellular connections. It's cool to be going down the interstate at 75 MPH and play on the internet (in the passenger's seat of course).
The cell card also has a gps built into it, so I can pull up google maps, or google earth and show my current location on the map. Kinda cool too...
I'm pretty hyped about going to Uwharrie this weekend though. First time there...

PS. If you do see me there, stop me. I can show you the 8" subs under my front seat. I built custom fiberglass/wood boxes that have .33 cubic feet of air space and fit (hidden) under the front seats of the libby.
