Uwharrie Memorial Day weekend

Anyone going to Uwharrie memorial day weekend? I am driving up from Jax FL and wanted to get some wheeling in while I'm in NC. Going to be out there either Friday or Saturday or both. Possibly camp. I plan on running all the trails including Daniel. I am from NC so I am familiar with all of the trails. Don't want to wheel alone. Let me know.

Wish I could, I'll be studying for a physio exam on Tuesday.

Just be warned, they're calling for rain all weekend. Could be interesting on the rock.

I went up to NC to see mine and my wife's family. While we were there I went riding in Uwharrie National Forrest. Here are a couple of pics. I didn't get that many because I always forget.

Made it through almost the entire park. We were hitting the last trail heard a little bit of popping, but I thought it was the lunchbox up front, then all of the sudden I couldn't turn left. Pulled off and both front shackle mounts has ripped off.See carnage.





Trail fix to get me to a camp with a welder

The generator running the welder wasn't strong enough so needless to say it was some bird poo looking welds to get me to the gas station outside the park where I met a flatbed. Towed it to my brother in laws industrial shop. Next day it was time for upgrade. We fabbed some new much stronger hangers and got them burned in.

Seems you had an unusual bad break, but a good day of wheeling! And a Good break, that the Shop was close, & you got a Beautiful Upgrade!
