My dad and I are going to Uwharrie Friday Oct 30-Sunday Nov 1. We'll be stayin at hunt camp, hittin some easy trails Saturday to break in/test out some mods on the trucks then hitting Daniel and Rocky Mountain Saturday if everything is still together. Anyone is welcome to come wheel/hang out/shoot the bull or whatever.

Appears I'll be headed down on Friday (10/30) AM with Tater for the day. If you see us, holler!

Tater: '84 CJ7 Rust over Maroon/SOA/33" Swampers
 
I will be there on Satuday in a white ZJ with a stripped to primer hood (can't miss it :D)
 
Looks like it may be a little rainy on Saturday. I have never been in the rain before, but have heard the trails get more challenging. I am open front and rear, so am I still going to have a good time on Saturday?
 
You'll definitely have a difficult time on the uphill climbs where there's not much rocks to grab onto. I saw tons of open rigs this past weekend and they all did okay. All of them had a good time that's for sure. I wouldn't pass it up if I were open. Afterall, being open makes you a better driver right? :)

this past satruday was my first trip out there. I picked a helluva day to go. the rain made for some hairy side to side sliding action on hills and such. just dont rely on the brakes too much and youll be fine. :)
 
I'm still planning on being there tomorrow. Just finished locking the rear and fixing a few things. Since it's 4am, I won't be there at 0900. More like 1300. Be looking out for me. Red XJ with red beadlocks.
 
Heading that way in about an hour. Probably be at the Outpost about 10

I'm open front and rear and never had a single issue out there last weekend




...not really, I'm locked front and rear...I think that's kinda obvious after last weekend :Rockon:
 
To anyone that looked for us at Hunt Camp this morning, we broke last night and booked it back home. Hate we missed yall, maybe next time.

Hope you guys are still out there. It's 2:17pm and it'll be at least 4 pm before i get there. Come to think of it, maybe I should wait till tomorrow, but then it'll be nasty tomorrow.
 
cltdba was pulling into The Outpost as we were leaving. Had a good day with BIGCLAY. It it was slick but we made it without any problems...........well kinda.............. well ........... anyway, we made it back :)
 
I made it out afterall. Met JC at the outpost and had a 4-wheeler fan club trailing me. heheh Made it up Daniel with no issues at all. Didn't have time for Kodak. :(

A yellow one on 38s and a black and silver one on 35s, that was us. We ran Wolf Den and Falls Dam Friday and ran Dickey Bell and Rocky Mountain loop Friday night where we exploded the rear slip yoke and axle yoke. Drove out in front wheel drive and put it strait on the trailer.

hahah, yeah we started out on Daniel, I smashed my driver sideview mirror before we could get to the ledge, then had to back out. Then later in the day I ended up smashing my rear tail light and ripping off the driver side cladding on other trails. I did make it down daniel at the end of the day :) Not bad for being open/open in the muddy trails... I had a blast! :D
