Uwharrie off road race to benefit kids of fallen soldiers

I'm in for the 35 and under. Are we racing each class at one time or individual timed laps?

Prob 2 at a time or individual times. Track is tight and dust is super bad, if we had more than 2 at once i would say we would all be blind. Also for simplicity(stopwatch) Id say one or 2 would be it

Brad thanks for posting this up and all. Unfortunately based on other things needing our attention we are out. I will however pimp it on other forums for ya'll!

Will this benefit Toys-4-Tot's or another Charity for children? That may help promote it a bit more.....

Be safe ya'll!

Thanks hate you cant make it. I was told by the owner it was to benefit children of fallen soldiers, so honestly dont know. If you want to know for sure call Johhnie @ Uwharrie stables in eldorado, nc. He is in charge of the event and benefit, we are just gonna put on the high speed race. He did say if you did not want to donate monetarily to bring an unwrapped toy

So, is the entry fee being collected for the winners, or to donate? I'd rather see it donated
We where thinking 50% to the cause the other 50 to prize fund....

Up to racers, thought about half and half and the winner can donate or keep. So this way at least half goes to the cause

i think me and chris are in. 90%

In time trials are ok with me.3 laps...best two count..or add all three laps together and divide by 3 for best average time...
Side by side racing is even more exciting, but brings a higher level of danger, and will be harder to time each racer. I hate to say it but time trials really would be the simpler way to go. But again...side by side is waaaay funnnner.

Which ever is fine. See ya Sat Morn or friday night late.

Maybe schedule a parade lap for everyone at a certain time to see the course...or just have open pre run..either one.

I raced this course back in May and unless they incorporate the tractor tire obstacle, 33"s and 35"s will be more than fine. Even 31"s will be fine for that matter. The track is fast with several table top jumps and you can basically get as much air as you desire.

Not sure if I can make it, but I'll try!

Good cause!

One more Q; Is this for current racers only or anyone who wants a "taste" or "experience" what racing is about?

Would our Cheap Truck Challenge XJ be "safe" enough? It looks like a crumpled beer can but it's still structurally sound and the seatbelts work. Just doesn't have any windows in it.

Here is what it looks like

WE HAVE TROPHIES!!!

Dont ask what they look like...that'll be a very cool surprise. Possibly a little unusual...but trophies none the less.

thanks to Terry and Belinda (YHDG) WE will have trophies. We will figure out how to disperse them.

lol this going to be cool!

ANYONE and EVERYONE is welcome to come play....

10-4 I'll get something together in the morning to pimp on the other boards I'm on. :huggy:

Last time I talked to Tony, Team Hardrock Carnage is in!!

Good point, although that picture is of it's good side.

I'm just talkin shit! :)

we're in. 8am, hmmm...I can do that Saturday morning, Chris might have to camp out Friday night :D

I'm thinking about camping friday myself if I can get out of work early enough. We are definitely camping Saturday night either at the stables or on the trails somewhere. We are gonna make a weekend of it.

I had planned to make the CTB veterans ride this weekend but those plans have been hampered so this race weekend will make up for race 5 and the vet ride.

Wonder if Shawn and Cydney are gonna be there both weekends? I need to give them their camp chair back. Brad you hear anything from them? Also should prolly put this in the upcoming events section.
