A group of us are going down friday and camping on RML and wheeling saturday too. If anyone else wants to go just post up! I think we have 4 rigs going for sure and more say they want to come.

Probably do some night wheelin' too on friday! Bring it!

We will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs friday night to grubb on. Also we will have a generator and a big trailer full of fire wood. So it's gonna be fun! :beer:

should be nice and busy there that weekend. upstate cruisers and old north state cruisers are planning on spending the weekend there as well. sounds like a great photo op at Kodak rock
 
Yeah, it's going to be fun to set up the lawn chair and watch the carnage! Are you going up with your cruiser group?
 
I may be up there if the d44 and 37's get in there smoothly.
It would probably just be that sunday, my buddy with his S10 Blazer on 42s should be there for sure so hope it works out.
 
We are planning on camping at the top of Rocky Mountain Loop!

Cool man come on down! Chromerunner will be at the outpost at 10am on friday if you want to meet up with him. Some of us will be down later in the day. I'll be driving the black and blue CJ.

aight, thanks man, i dont know what time im goin down, but most of my boys wont be there until fri evening or sat morn. when you say your campin on top of rocky mtn, do you mean at the top of the rock garden by the fence? because thats where we were plannin on campin.
 
Not exactly sure yet. We'll be the ones with the big fire and a generator eating burgers and hotdogs! :beer:
 
I would definatley be down for wheeling on friday. Hopefully the weather will be decent. What time are ya'll planning to hit the trails on friday?
 
Hey I am new to the site and was actually looking at going on the 9th and camping fri 8th. I have never been to uwharrie and am not familiar with the camp sites. If anyone can give me directions or meet me somewhere and guide me in I would appreciate it.
 
are you lookin to camp in the campground or just on a trail..It is open camping you can camp any where as long as isnt posted no camping.There are some good spots on rockymount loop and daniel.
 
I would like to camp with the group if that would be ok but where ever is fine.
 
Sure man, you can camp with us. We are camping on Rocky Mountain Loop trail. I will be down at the Eldorado outpost around 11:00 on friday morning if you want to meet me there. Shoot me a pm if you need directions. I'll have the black excursion and the black and blue cj7 with a red trailer.

That's going to be awesome going up RML to the trail with a trailer of wood! LOL
 
I'm planning on showing up on RML friday evening around 9 or so.I be on a tandem tow with my yellow tj pulling my Willys pulling my M416 trailer with wood.How much wood was every one planning on bringing?

Here's how you get to the camping area. from the outpost turn right onto Hwy 109 turn on the the first road on your RIGHT then turn RIGHT on the first road past the gravel parking lot.thats 576, go down 576. turn LEFT on 553, Turn RIGHT onto Rocky mtn loop trail. Go up the trail the camping sites will be on the top of the hill the larger on is on your right I will be in a black CJ7 on 35s. I should be at the camp around 12-1 friday.

I have some small kindling for starting fires and we are planning on making sausage biscuits for Sat morning. Should be there 10-11am Friday.
