Looking to buy two reefer trailers for on the yard storage out of VA. One doesnt have a title, the other does.. I'm not going to be running them on the road and am ok with the one not having a title. The other one has a title that has been signed but not dated by the owner before the one I'm buying it from. Guy I'm dealing with says that VA doesn't require a notary for sales so I can just put my new down and turn the title in and everything will be good. It seems sketch. I've never bought anything tittled from va so idk. I know NC this is a no no

Not having a title for both isnt a deal breaker bc they're cheap and if I use it for a year it's still cheaper than renting. If I can keep it titled though, it will obviously be easier to sell later.

No notary required for a VA title.....BUT be sure to are dealing with a VA title.

I bought a vehicle from a guy in the military out of VA, but it was an LA title, and LA requires a notary seal.

The rest is sketchy, but manageable.

If they are going to be yard storage and not driven why title then at all?

So the only issue with the one title is that it doesn't have a date? Just throw a date on there and turn it in. I've done way sketchier stuff with titles and run them through.
Yeah that's the plan. No date, just a signature from the previous guy. If it doesn't fly at DMV I'll jus trash it and have another titleless trailer. I'm not thal worried about it. I'm only paying 7600 for both delivered ha

$1000 deposit and the untitled one showed up
