Oil had 50 miles on it in Nov. and found the plug dripping... have a large variety of nylon/annealed copper washers, BUT... don't want to the whole drain/pour back.

Have seen folks use a vac on various tanks (diesel, hydraulic) to repair/replace drains... given the AMC fill tube fits the nozzle and the crankcase should be fairly tight minus the fixed orifice PCV...

This will only work IF you livestream it.

But seriously, theoretically yes. And you’ll know pretty quick if it’s holding as you loosen the plug.

To play devil’s advocate, what will you be sucking into the engine? Are there any soft hoses that you will collapse with the vacuum?

I have changed 2" fittings in hydraulic tanks with a shop vac. You won't have an issue.
