I have a 98 4.3 vortec . It is a csfi engine. I need to know if there is a vacuum port to hook my brake booster in too. If not what can i do to make it work. Thanks for any help.

Any port that is after the throttle plate will work. It just needs to be a big one. Like a half an inch or so. I'm sure that engine has one. What did it come out of? (Not that it matters). Remember that everything on the engine side of the throttle plate has vacuum. If you can't find one, drill into the intake manifold. (Off the engine to keep drill shavings out of the engine.) and tap the hole and put in a nipple to run a hose over to the brake booster.

The booster port on my 5.3 is at the back of the intake, up high. It may not be near the thorttle body.

It doesn't need to be ON the throttle body, just behind it so that it is under engine vacuum. (Everything from the cyl to the throttle plate is under engine vacuum untill you open the throttle all the way). I'd still think that a chevy astro would've had vacuum assist brakes.
