Anybody have, or know where I get some 28mm shims for a 3rz Toyota. Really need a 2.45mm but nobody online lists one that size.

Check the dealer? Maybe call LC Engineering.

I'm assuming that's referring to thickness? If so I wouldn't think the .0019" difference would matter that much for a valve seat shim. If so you could probably sand a few thou off off you had too.

Yah. What I've been reading is that they need to be on the loose end of the scale.. They wear into the head over time and takes up the clearance. And they are some stupid hard metal..some guys saying it took them hours to sand off .002.. i can find them all the way down to 1.90 for a 5vz 32mm, but none under 2.50 in a 28mm

Why not buy shim material and make them? But then again I don't know how they work or look like

They sit in a pocket on the lifter under the cam. Can you not switch around some of the shims to make it right? I've done that a few times and only end up needing 2-4 as they aren't usually the same thicknessto start with..

Comp cams sell anything? Or any other aftermarket cam manufacturers? Not too familiar with the import stuff. I wouldn't worry about a .0019" difference on valve spring heights.

It's an over head cam design, with the cams over the lifters... 2 thou is half the tolerance on the clearance spec if my memory is good..

Are we taking about valve lash or valve spring height? I might've read the post wrong. I was referring to valve spring height.
