I was thinking along these lines, AWD Astro Vans

But no, I've seen a few Quigley conversions around, and U-Joint Offroad builds them locally.
I did see quite a few up in Carova Beach, NC. Pretty much all of the service vans up there are 4wd, saw a couple nice Duramax 4wd vans on the sand.

I've got a friend of mine with a 1978 long WB fullsize Chevy van with a 383 stroker, turbo 350, 205, dana 60, 14 bolt rear, fiberglass raised roof with 6ft inside hieght. Been sitting for 7 years! Won't sell it!

i thought about taking my bronco parts and buidling a 4x4 4.3 astro.

Why not buy a 4x4 astro in the first place? Or are you just wanting to go all out solid axle top heavy, rollover waiting to happen astro?

Turn up the torsion bars, some shackles, and some 30" tires would make a nice beach cruiser though.
