Van, a 4x4 van!

Yep, that is a Ujoint Offroad conversion kit. If you have any questions about it, you can call the UJOR owner Chris at 828-490-1562.
I'm pretty sure they did not do that conversion, it was done by another local shop.

I don't know the name but there is a company in pembroke/lumberton that did these also.

It looks like most f not all their conversions are E350 based. What happens now that E350s are not made anymore?

They will probably have to start building GM vans or Nissan NVs since the new Transit does not have a full frame.

The Nissan NV has to be one of the ugliest vehicles now in production. For some reason the high roof version always reminds me of the dog van from Dumb and Dumber.

They are actually E Series based. Meaning they can build a 150, 250 or 350. With the market they service, they won't any issue staying busy for a long, long time.
If you are ever in Asheville, you should stop by their shop and take a tour. Chris is a good dude, a car nut and is very passionate about his business. Drive 2 miles up the road and come by my shop on your way home!

When I did satellites for DTV, I always wanted to lift my Astrovan. I think I had read somewhere that an S10 lift kit would have worked with some simple mods.

Quigley has some Transits they have converted. Saw a blip about them in an off road magazine this morning. Not a lot of info and their site still shows the E series conversions.
