I have purchased an American Flag and a Marine Corps Flag for the veterans day ride at uwharrie on the 12th. I need to know the best way to mount them to my jeep and also if there is a protocol as to how to display them. Which side should each flag go on?

Not sure but I think the American flag is supposed to be higher. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Here ya go ....

Flag Code

...gotta love Google.

Thanks. It appears that the American Flag should go on the passenger side with the Marine Corps Flag on the drivers side with the American Flag being higher.

What would be the best way to mount them? I looked at flag poles but they are expensive and cannot find one made specifically for a vehicle. I will be displaying while going low speeds only or sitting still.

Brad would help to know how big your flags are, if they already have a pole they are mounted on, and a good pic of the fron of your Jeep.
I am thinking if they are small enough some welding and some conduit, and you'll be good. oh and some farteners to mount the flag to the pole.

They have those safety flag mounts for ATV's that would work, mostly for sand dune riding. I was also thinking some Firestik CB antenna's, but they are a lil' short. Also thinking Golf Course...but...

here's some nice but pricy looking one's: http://www.realwheels.com/flagpole.html

Let us know what you come up with.

Wallyworld has the kids bicycle safety flags and fiberglass poles with a bracket. Maybe 5 or 6 foot high. Should be ok at low speed?

Take it off before you hit the woods. I will not last long if you don't.

weld a air fitting nipple (the end that goes to air tool) to bumper, door pin, etc then fiberglass or metal rod on a female air fitting removal is clean and easy

I used threaded iron pipe and drilled holes with eyebolts and the screw type caribiners. Then for the mount i welded a coupler fitting for the iron pipe to a piece of angle and bolted that to my bed floor so you can screw the pole in and out.....ill try and remember to take some pictures tomorrow when i get home....things are sweet
