So what if I need to up the weight on my tag? Can I use the "I called the office and no one answered" excuse?
Get that commie crap outta here!Tag office is still open, took me 20 minutes to get 2 new tags and renew a 3rd.
Around here... I'vce ben flat out told by LEOs that nobody is getting pulled over unless its a serious infraction. So what if I need to up the weight on my tag? Can I use the "I called the office and no one answered" excuse?

Hell last week I borrowed a trailer from somebody who's wife is a cop, it has expired tags from another state, w/o working lights. "Just get home before dark, you'll be fine."
I sure as hell did. Now I just have a lower chance of getting caught.Didn’t we already do this before all this pandemic crap?
no?
just me?
So if you usually wait until you can conveniently consolidate trips or you get zapped at a check point anyway...is this like a free pass??? Asking for a friend...
Possibly...I'm doing the same.
We have yet to get tags for our Jetta since it still has VA tags on it that are within its expiration date til August...but no longer valid since residency is NC. I flat out asked a local LEO at the car wash a few weeks ago if it was an issue. "Dont drive like an idiot or blatantly break traffic laws and you're fine, we aren't running tags right now". I'll wait a little while longer til I need to drive the car on a daily basis before giving the DMV some money.
