So I know I'm known as a trolling asshole but today I had a life changing experience. my outside lawn and garden associate called me and said there was a man in the parking lot having a heart attach. So I called 911 then she called me back while on a land line with 911 and said he was not breathing so I sprinted to the parking lot to find a dead man in his truck. I pulled him out of his truck elevated his head and checked his pulse and nothing he was blue and cold. My coworker started chest compressions but tired out and I took over pretty sure I broke his ribs cause I'm not a small guy I kept yelling gene breathe gene . After a few minutes he took a breath and I kept pumping and telling him to fucking breathe soon ems showed up and I continued chest compressions while she got ready to shock him and shoot something in his leg. Soon after there was a whole team of life savers there to take over and the man who was dead was talking when he left lowes parking lot on a stretcher. I called later and gene is in stable condition. keep fighting gene .

Amazing how someones blood not pumping can really get your blood pumping.

And, as you found out, it's one thing to do compressions for a minute or so in a CPR class. Totally different animal to continue for 5-10-15 minutes.

Curious, do y'all have AED's at Lowes?

he is a shit head. he's just a shit head that helped save a guy. you'd be amazed at what I can do on some days. it's not much but it's something.

I guarantee u broke ribs, if u are doing effective cpr u will break ribs. Never done cpr where I didn't. Good job

I hear ya! Good job and I know exactly where you're coming from. In my build thread I reflect in an experience that happened to me back in June of last year. To sum up, five of my really close friends got into a terrible car accident right in front of me. The girl in the front passenger seat was on the verge of drowning in her own blood unconscious and I feel as though I may have saved her life.
It's weird when these situations arrive. It's an instinct that kicks in that can't really be explained. Props to you sir!

I done the exact same thing one time. I done CPR on one of my tenants and brought him back. He was already turning blue when I got to him. EMS and the ER doctors said I 100% saved his life.
Six months later he was in good enough shape to rip the bathroom sink out and throw it in my bathtub and bust it, busted holes in all my walls, pissed in my floors, and left enough trash, rotten food, and junk in the house to fill a tandem axle dump truck before he left owing me three months rent.
And people wonder why I'm an asshole.

Wow! What an ungrateful bastard.
