im looking for options for on board air.

Plans are mostly to run lockers, air tires, and an occasional air tool.

At the moment I'm leaning towards the Viair 444C setup. It doesn't have the CFM of the ARB but is close. I've heard both good and bad of the twin ARB setup.

Any thoughts on either or a different option?

I don't have room to put a York compressor on so that option is out.

I do have a CO2 tank but I want to do away with it as it isn't as convenient as I would like.

I can add a tank, which is a benefit over the CO2 setup as the fabricated tank can be dang near whatever size I can fit wherever.

I'm just here to take notes.

Can't comment on the ARB, but the Viair compressors are pretty good. I've never had a problem with them running air suspensions on vehicles, and some of them get a lot of run time.

I ran an arb mini compressor on my race buggy. No issues ever. My 4 seater uses Powertank jet pak to run the rear locker. Also, no issues other than running out once while on trail. I didn't have a spare co2 tank with me, but I carry one now. Both of these are good options, but only supply enough for lockers.

Just to toss in my 2cents as a new guy, I like the idea of having a dedicated compressor for my lockers. I run a micro ARB for the locker and a separate compressor to air up tires and such.

I did a quick search on that Puma and it's on Backorder. I really like that unit. At under $300 for it and a tank seems like a decent deal.

Paranoia mostly. I group things by essential and nonessential systems. Essential systems make the vehicle go, essentially, and are connected to my starting battery. All the other ancillary stuff in connected to my second, house, battery. Inflating tires is a high use, high wear, high probability of the compressor crapping out activity. I rather use a separate compressor and battery for that than my main starting battery and the compressor that runs my front locker.

So, as I said, paranoia mostly and and innate need to complicate things.

Weird I could not find that first one when I looked. The two sites I found including Puma said either back ordered or ask manufacturer about availability. I did find the other three but was really only interested in the first one. Thanks.
