MSE has worked great for me!! I have used Norton and McAfee and had viruses left and right. So far Microsoft Security Essentials is great!! Try it you will like it!!

Yep...Works great on my Windows98, Vista and Windows7.

Guess, I'll admit, I got suckered by XP Security Shield. A trogan virus, thats nearly impossible to get rid of. It did something to shut me down & make me think I was being invaded. Actually, I was! It looks like legit Windows Security. Paid 39.95, for lifetime protection.[computer repairman said no lifetime in any virus protection] Three days ago, [bout 3 mo. aft. purchase] my browser shut down, & all hell broke loose! BUY more protection, XP Security screamed! WTF ! Think I got lucky[so far]. With the help & advice of repairman, I was able to "restore back few days". That got me up enough to run Disk cleaner, Mal-wareBytes, Defrag, & renew Avast. All these are Free & on your "programs". XP tried for about 24 hr. to trick me into clicking automatic updates. It now seems to have vanished! I have Avast, & use Mozella=all is well. Google XP Security, & see why U should never touch it!!

Simple Virus solution. Linux Mint or Fedora.
No more problems with viruses after that.
