Got this from our IT guy at work, thought I would pass it along
All,
There is a new wave of “Official “ looking emails that is circling the net.
The Subject line will have some sort of legal sounding verbiage.
There is normally a “zip” attachment with the email. The Sender of the email will tell you that you need to open the attachment to see the entire message.
If you do open the attachment, a message will pop up and tell you that the issue has been resolved and no other action on your part is needed.
But what really happens is, when you open the zip file it runs a program that infests your pc with a program that gives remote control to the programmer.
So, if you have open any such email here at LeeBoy, please let me know asap.
Also, don’t open any emails from unknown or un-solicited sources.
Just “Say No” and delete it.
If someone really wants to reach you, they will call.
Thank you
Crw
