Vortec 350 & 4L60e

Looking for opinions fellas, I have the opportunity to get a 350 and 4L60 from a friend. (Computer and all). What is everybody's take on this tranny. I'm running an AX-15 and twin sticked d300 right now with intentions of running the bigger motor and I would like to go auto tranny. Should I run the 4L60 or keep looking for a 700R4? Keep the d300 or try to aquire the stuff for 203/205 combo? I'm running 40" tires and the chevy tons are geared 4.56.

4l60e and 700 are the same internally. the 4l60e is computer controlled, the 700 is cable controlled.

The 4L60 has alot of electronics that are venerable and can fail easily the 700R4 is simple mechanical with a electronic lock up other than that they are exactially the same .... The vortec unless you carb it the electronics hate water and can become a night mare to chase down (ask me how i know !! )
