Vstar Yamaha motorcycle help

A year ago we started on this and then gave up. Now we need to sell the bike or get it running again. Or both!
Got a buddy of mine we changed the starter and starter clutch.
Followed the manual but darn thing don’t feel like it’s going in neutral good.
We cleaned the carbs and drained the gas and made sure it’s got spark but it doesn’t want fire up when it does find neutral.
I would love to find someone to fix this thing.

Anybody you guys know that works on Yamahas and knows the vstar?

Not close to you but I have a friend that has a shop in Canton NC that is a master at anything in the power sports world. His name is Max and he’s been at it for 40+ years.
