I got a yj and i was thinking about putting a set of waggy axles under it. What year range would be good to look for, and what all would need to be done to set up the steering. Looking for the least amount of work required for now, as this will just be a beater.

hp60 and 60 rear, all chromo, arb's, and xj springs. w00t w00t.

The guy above must have bottomless pockets when it comes to money :shaking:
That said, If you are like most, you will end up with them anyway  To answer you question, 80-92 waggy axles will work. Just bypass the 83-84 front axles with the disco and make sure you get a D44 rear and not a D20. They are the same width give or take an inch. You will have to re-do the rear perches, and the front are one inch off.
If you are interested, I have a set of waggy D44's set up for SOA or SUA, with flat tops, tapped and drilled with studs for high steer arms, and I can set them up with 4.88's if you want.

Mike that 4 banger won't need 44's

:flipoff2:

That being said..

I have a guy you can get a D60 and a D44 set for $500.00 and the front 44 is pretty much a bolt in
