I have researched the hell out of this but I need some info from some guys here that have done it. First of all is it worth it or would you go to a 60? I have a weak SBC v8 powered YJ with a Ford 8.8 and a set of IROK 36's that measure under 35 inches new. Im running a 700R4 with 4.10 gears. I wheel with a light gas pedal and have had minimal breakage with 35's on my 30 with upgraded shafts. Is going to the Wagoneer 44 and building it worth it? What did you do about the different bolt patterns/ steering? Any input would be great. Forgot to add that Im cheap....

I ran an 8.8 and a waggy 44 on my ZJ. As for lug pattern, I had my chromoly shafts for the 8.8 made special with a 6x5.5 lug pattern to match the front. I ran the 44 with 35s, 4.88 gears and a healthy 5.2 and I wasn't afraid to hit the rev limiter and I never had a problem with the 44, but it did have chromoly shafts and CTM joints.

I converted my waggy d44 to 5x5.5 lug pattern and used 5x4.5 to 5x5.5 adapters on the 8.8.

or c clip be gone w/ CM shafts are drilled both 4.5 and 5.5 then do ford parts in the 44 frt. for the 5 by 5.5 wheels. I did it for my TJ
