Wanna see factory wicked nastyness?

So a customer came in today driving this...
I got a partial just looking at it. Looked like a 70 up front and a rock (square tube) in the rear but the rear wasn't a top loader, so I'm not sure. Was hoping I'd run into whoever was driving it but got too busy before they left. 0123001429.jpg

oh yeah, I'm sure it was a blast hoping no one was on the other side of the corners coming up.

As for the ball, it was softball sized AND there was a set of trucknuts underneath (you can kinda see them in my shitty cellphone pics).

Those are 40x13.50x20s for reference...

and i realize that dont be a dick when theres no reason to be. i think its pretty cool i would deff. drive the piss out of it, just in my opinion i would take the henry ford stance.
 
what are the engine/tranny specs on those things?

I agree 100%, if it were mine I'd have the whole thing painted any color Johnny Cash wanted it painted as long as that color was black. Color aside I think its a fairly unique and awesome vehicle.

Wasn't trying to be dick, just honest. I didn't put the pictures up cause I liked the paint or the shape of the hood.
 
Yea if they front was squarede a bit more it would be super badass
 
i always thought sterling was ford. i dont know i will never have the money for anything like this and if i did i would go ahead and get a transfer truck instead of these show machines. i mean come on the chevy only has a 6.6 maxipad, you would think they could come up with a better engine package

The Sterling Bullet is a Dodge. All others are Ford. The Chevy more than likely has a 7.8L I-6 Duramax.

If I could buy a truck like that it would be a crew cab Freightliner M-2 with a 8.3 Cummins and a Marmon Harrington 4x4 conversion.

yea the sterling is a dodge with a different grille, but your gonna have to post a pic of this freightliner all i could find was rollbacks. and on the chevy website 6.6 and 8.1 gas are the only options

My dad worked for Auto Truck Transport out of Cleveland, NC and delivered several Freightliners like that. I wish I had taken some pics. I'll see if I can find one somewhere. He also went to the M&H plant and they had built a Peterbuilt with the same setup. Google 7.8 duramax. They're out there.
