I want to "spice" up my old ford. 72 F100 4x4 360 grammy 4spd to my knowledge its completly stock minus the points eliminator kit. I feel confident that between me and a friend we can do the work but im completly lost when it comes to pickin out what I need.

Lookin for more torque/horspower, its eventually gonna be lifted a lil bit more so gas milage dosent matter. I just want it to be fun to drive.

I was thinking cam, intake, and a 4barrel. What all is has to b be changed? recomended but not nessesary?

Ive look at summit and some other places but like I said I dont understand all the cam lift/lobe stuff so any help would be great.

I did find this cam set up http://www.amotion.com/ffe.html

STREET PERFORMANCE (1800 rpm to 4800 rpm, max. HP @ 5800 rpm)
Good upper mid-range performance for street machines. Also works
well for medium and heavy towing. A 4 barrel carb is required.
ENGINE CAM RANGE* CARB CFM RANGE HORSEPOWER

360 21300 to 22100 664 to 813 cfm Max. 360 HP

*The cam range refers to the 2nd half of
the Accelerated Motion part number.
Compression: Gasoline 9.0:1 to 10.5:1, Propane 10.5:1 to 12.0:1
Exhaust: Dual exhaust, headers are recommended
Gear Ratio: 3.3:1 to 4.3:1
Idle: 950 rpm or less, small lope
Ignition: Recurved or perf. distributor, electronic ignition

CAM AND VALVE TRAIN
050 DUR LIFT ADV DUR LOBE
INT/EXH INT/EXH INT/EXH SEP.

All 214/224 .518/.544 292/302 112

all so i'd be interested in any f-100 related parts that anyone has. . . .

First thing I'd do is swap to a 390 bottom end...30 more cubes for cheap. Then I'd go cam, then 4bbl combo and headers. The cam you picked out seems a little agressive. Typically, when I'm looking for more pep, I don't go much over a .500 of lift. Beyond that, regear when you lift it. My recommendation would be 4.56's up to 35's...4.88's 36-40's and 5.13's up to a 44.

So there I can do cam alone then what ever later on? and would the cam be the best choices for first mod?
I know its better to do it all at once for different reasons but $$$ wont allow that right now. I suck at saving and I cant stand buying something and not putting it on the truck till I get everything.

Well the thumpstick usually is the biggest dollar for dollar upgrade you can do for these rigs. But I'd also check on a 390 crank, and I can't remember if the 360 rods or pistons will work or if you'll need to buy those new as well. Then I'd swap the 4bbl set up on there...but that's almost rendered useless until you swap on some headers. So yeah...swapping the cam in now, won't hurt anything...but it won't reach it's full potential until the rest of the stuff comes.
