wanting to install A/C in my TJ

If I wanted to put a/c in my Jeep what kinda prices would I be looking at as far as getting the parts. I heard around $1500. Is that accurate? Sounds way overboard to me if I do it myself.

keep your eyes open for a wrecked jeep TJ on craigslist and then buy the whole thing for $500-800 dollars... use ALL the AC components and then re-sell the rest of the jeep for the same price and beleave me... someone will buy it. Thats what i did. So basically i got to convert my jeep to a fully functioning AC for free, plus ALOT of labor, but deff. worth it. Dont ONLY look at local craigslist areas, expand your searches to differents cities too, it will be worth the drive.
