Was almost an awesome thing....

I'm a man of principles, but 1/4 or more of $865,000,000 would make me rethink my fueds...

You never would anyway. If they did reunite, most of us couldn't afford tickets! These cash-grab reunion tours annoy me. The Allman Bros never quit touring, and I could catch them for under $50. I guarantee Zeppelin tickets would start at $200 and sell out in minutes. There's also good newer bands, doing fresh, original material at local clubs for $12. Going to your local club also helps artists who really need it. Many of them are making little more than what's needed to live on while touring. They don't have a gold-plated toilet at home unless they stole it from Robert Plant! Honestly I applaud Plant for sticking to his opinions and not caving when someone waves some dollars under his nose.

Id pay $200 a pop to see Zeppelin. Its kind of like when the eagles came last November... Always wanted to see them and tickets weren't cheap, but it was incredible and I can now say that I have seen The Eagles live.
Your right, there are a lot of new bands that are good creating new stuff, but Led Zeppelin? I'd kill to see Robert and Jimmy play live...

Plant dosn't need the money, he can go based on principles.
Zeppelin was a great band. Lets let it just go. No way the performances are going to be the same, I'm failing to see what the advantage/bonus is of seeing this tour vs one of the various "dedication" bands etc. Yesi it's the same bodies on the stage but the overall vibe etc is not the same.

Have you seen Celebration day?
Check it out sometime. Plant and Page played so well off each other and Plants voice was so on point.
I think Plant wants new material to play instead of what he calls "a rolling jukebox"

I said the same thing about about David allan coe and went to see him, Great show(was downtown greensboro at the nclub). Had a great time, fast forward 3 or 4 years and he came out on stage with a walker and sounded horrible, wish I had not gone to see the second show....Sometimes we are better off with the what ifs!

Just go see ZOSO. About as close to the original you'll get for pocket change

Not sure about that. Maybe. I've seen ZOSO several times in Raleigh at the Lincoln theater. I was always pleased. And the ticket price was good for my college budget lol. Even left room for a few beers
