just wondering if any one else has this issue. happens in my TJ and my wifes JK after decent rains. i have a soft top she has a hard top. water mainly puddles in passenger side front floor but sometimes in both. fixes??

Pull the drain plugs out of the floor

Build a garage :]

Check the cowl vents to see if they're clogged. Get inside and have the misses run the water hose on different areas, starting up top and moving down slowly. Get a bright flashlight and look under the dash for streams of water. Also, look under the hood for penetrations in the fire wall that could let water in.

Exactly what to do but start low with the water and work up, if you start up top you never get to check the low spots on there own.....

Be patient and use volumes of water

My 06 tj did this, it was allways on the passenger side, I never did figure it out, drain plugs were out anyway, I would like to know what you find.

Did it on my 05 Grand. Turned out to be a combo of trash (leaves, gunk, etc.) in the door to windshield rubber seal and a hole in the pinnch weld underneath some door weatherstripping. Gobs of caulking took care of that hole :)

Cowl drains on the TJ. JK: There are so many different leaks they have, it's hard to say. They are without a doubt, the leaking-est Jeeps ever made. Just terrible. And the hard tops are worse, believe it or not.

If it's the passenger side, and it's NOT coming from up by the A pillar, might want to check if it's coming from the gasket around the door, at the bottom. There's a channel the gasket sits in, and water gets under the gasket (or weatherstrip) and pees over the door sill at the bottom.

yep, mine does it too.Just don't put anything in the floor you don't want wet and live life stress free.

It's a jeep thing.lol ours do it too just pulled plugs and forgot about it

Yup, my cj7 did it and every yj I have owned has done it. Tried to solve it a couple times but...finally gave in to :

Throw out the carpet, line-x the entire interior, buy some cheap mats if you really have to, and pull the plugs. Then park at different angles and drill some addtional holes wherever water puddles.

Once you're all done, pop the hood, look for a thick rubber hose coming thru the firewall that narrows like it has been pinched - it has, and it is blocking the water from draining out of the hood vent. Cut that pinched part off and make sure all the debris is out of it.

Congratulate yourself for all the work you did previously, cuz this is only one source of leakage. Jeeps aint' supposed to have tops anyway... :D
