Where are you guys getting your weather stripping for cut edges on your TJs or trail rigs? Like if you hi line the hood, or comp cut the rear, where are you finding that black weather stripping for the edges?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I couldn't find it at Lowes at all. I need it today, so what retail stores should I try and and what exactly should I ask for? Four different people at Lowes said they didn't carry "weather stripping" like what I was asking for?

I need what is on -sean-'s hood:

Thanks-

How flexible is that stuff?
I have an application coming up where I'll have a cage bar (say 1.5") going through a body panel, I'd liek to seal around it. Was thinking that stuff might make a sort of grommet if wrapped around in a circle, if it can do that kind of arc.

Not sure the door trim will bend that much and stay on. For 1.5" hole id hit fastenall/granger etc.. and get a large grommet then cut it in one spot. Probably seal better too.

I'll hit the Auto stores and see what I can find.

This is just a temporary solution- my stretch corners won't be here for 3 or 4 weeks and I needed to trim the wheel well between now and when they come in.

Thanks!

Redline, all of the above and you can use the grommets that hold in the lights on trailers, they come in several sizes and are made to be outside. the 2inch works good for rollcages!

Picked up some door trim up from Advanced Auto, worked perfectly!

Thanks for the help.

where do you find said grommets?

I just used some old toyota door molding that I had laying around. It worked pretty good.
