I saw my back yard weather station at 111*.
This was after 3 days in a row of topping out at 104*!!
But at least it wasn't 20*.

I'll take cold over heat.
In a worst case I can escape cold with a fire. Easier to produce heat.
I can add clothing to keep myself warm.
When its hot... you can only take off so much...

I've worked outside for most my life. Two things I've never understood.

1. The people that complain about the weather when they only experience it for a few minutes at a time, walking from their car to their home/store/work.

2. People that prefer the heat over the cold. In the summer months I feel like a zombie at the end of a hot day, in the winter time I might get miserably cold but I still feel human after work.

This. Working outside in the heat sucks, it's easy to dress for the cold unless it's 34 and raining or below zero and windy, both scenarios suck.

Im the opposite. Below about 40 my muscles just cramp and I literally cant grip shit as I get older. In the heat, even last weeks satan ball sack 102 - as long as I can keep the sweat out of my eyes, Im largely unaffected.
 
All you habe to do is loose 1/3 of your body weight like I have and you will understand ... I get cold below 72* now!

Exactly
I dropped 100+ back in ‘22- I’ve added about 15 back…but my cold tolerance is gone
 
Eh body weight? I have lost 15 pounds in two months from this heat. 6 foot flat and right at 206. Got to 220 or so. No difference in heat or cold tolerance.

Blue collar types seem to always just fall into dealing with what ever. And this blue collar stays soaking wet if it gets above 80. I loath Summer weather.

Agree with you and @Ron. I'm down 100lbs and definitely cant handle the cold like I used to. Of course I cant seem to handle the heat like I used to either 🙄.
