I have had my domain hosted at bluehost.com for many years. Always had infinite storage. Today, I get an email that they are going to impose storage limits. 10GB for standard accounts. I have almost 50 GB in images, emails, etc. Really sucks that it takes effect November 1st, not until the end of my current contract term, which is 2025 (I'm working on that angle, too).

So, I guess it's time to change, even if the new host also has limits.

Who's the go-to hosting service nowadays? I can actually drop my web stuff now and go email-only, with my domain.

Looked at that....would get spendy...have 7 email accounts, that's $42 a month...
Step 1 - establish a Nonprofit.
Step 2 - use G Suite for $0/user/month.

That would cost 42 a month if you have 7 users, not accounts

Can a user have multiple email addresses?

Yes. A user can have multiple email addresses by creating email aliases. You can add up to 30 email aliases for each user.

Well, we are separate users....2 for me, the rest are wife & family

One rack at joesdatacenter, a backbone in KC. Very much enjoyed their customer service.
Self managed became too much overhead with the many hats i juggle. Moved to bluehost. Their indiamart service has plummeted it as a smart choice.
Moved to namecheap on a dedi. Supplement with G-Suite on parent companies

Been doing a lot of research and reading up on this. Lots of unhappy soon to be ex-bluehost users. Worse than the email, they have messed with max # of domains.

Contrary to what support said yesterday, there are no refunds. I renewed last year (actually, was going to change, but this was right when FIL passed away, and just before our Utah trip, so auto-renew kicked in). So, I'm pretty well stuck until 2025, since it's paid for. I'm just downloading a bunch of emails from IMAP to a local account on m Mac to get the hosted email down under the limit. Pretty well everything older than a couple of years.

From what I have read, lots of good hosts out there now. A2 and Dreamhost have good reviews. And @jeepinmatt IONOS keeps coming up too.

I’ve used them for over a decade for buying domains, and hosting sites. No complaints.
