I bought a used Weber carb being told everything was there. I went to install and found that the linkage isn't there. It seems to operate different than the old. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem? The motor is a 258 in a 88 wrangler. Pics could help also. thanks

Contact "Redline Weber Carburetors" they will be able to get you the linkage or any other parts you need.

Likely this is what you need

I know it has been awhile. I just got around to buying the kit. Now I am aggravated. It seems the carb is a 34(?). The linkage doesnt work like it should. Please please need help.

I wish I had seen this before, I just threw the weber and linkage from my old 258 away. Post up a pic of your linkage and maybe we can see whats wrong

The 34 is a bastard child, and not really loved by anyone. Sorry, but I think you picked up a dog. You might be able to make it work, but I've heard the castings on those are awful and they're extremely troublesome. I'm not a Weber fan to begin with, but if you must, stick with the 32-36 or the 38 if you're looking for performance. Otherwise, FI or I guess a Motorcraft would be your best options.

Well does anyone have a good carb for sale?

Tater (my brother) has rebuilt MC2100 1.08" venturi for sale... along with the manifold-to-carb adapter (w/ gaskets) and Mr. Gasket air cleaner he needs to sell. I'll even throw in another 2100 (came off my Jeep)... just to get it off the shelf!

FWIW, he went TBI :D

You can't beat the MC2100. It's a great carb, and is what I went to after removing the Weber from my 4.2
