Must have been one of Oliver's "competitors." I've seen driveshaft spacers made out of wood and Delrin/nylon, but that is truly some redneck engineering right there.

He probably didn't use a torque wrench! As long as they are torqued properly it should work fine.

He was trying to fix the angle on his driveshaft. A t-case drop would have been too much trouble. All the angles were right when he bolted it up!
