weld or bolt winch plate

This is on my wrangler now and welded ugly. So grind off and have welded or bolt on. New winch is here

Depends on what it's welded to. Those welds don't "look" terrible in the picture, but in person it might be another story. If it's got good penetration and the parent material (whatever the winch plate it welded to) is strong enough, then it'll be fine. With a good weld, the parent material will tear or break before the weld itself.

I'd leave it where it is and toss a few bolts in it if you're worried about it.
