Welding Advice

got one for ya work as a maintence man for the company that built 2 draw file cabinets lots of spot welding whille theres a 50,000 volt mercury switch that fires the welder get hit by that they send you out for an ekg then the doctor tells you to go home and have a few beers it does something to the electrolites in your body to get you feeling better its a jolt ive been there and have seen about 4 others get it
 
yeah those guys make the jack...had a buddy from hs that travels now welding underwater. Mostly dam repair work and offshore oil rig repair.

He makes ~250k per year and works no more than 6 months...


I would do it. But I'm skeered of deep water. No thanks.

I've heard under water welding messes with your depth perception as well.
 
This thread is labeled wrong should read FUNNY AS HELL! I'm an electrician so we get shocked all the time but hearing yall describe it is FUNNY. BTW unless you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with a tank chasing you I wouldn’t weld while wet. While operating correctly the welder only puts out like 20 volts but a now possibly wet welder and my luck for my junk to break at the worst time. Broke doesn’t all ways mean not working but not working correctly.
 
I tought the Marines how to stickweld off of three truck batteries while the batteries were still in the trucks and did get a tingle every now and then with your knee on damp ground. But you can burn in some pretty thick stuff if you know what you are doing!
