welding question

I have some new spring hangers that im going to put on my scout. I was concerned about how to get the best weld on these set of hangers because the edges are round where they were bent over. I was thinking to make a flat bevel at the top where it would contact the frame but I dont want to weaken the corners. the rounded part works good enough as the bevel. Just clean them of oil and any dirt and you'll be fine.

x2 Make the metal on frame and spring hanger shine like it was new and burn it in as hot as possible without putting holes in your frame.
