Welding supply chain. Anyone on here order most of their filler metal, abrasives, and consumables online?
I am considering looking harder into using a web based or business that tailors to internet sales as well.
My gas guy does a good job. He is a friend who I worked with years ago. The other gas stores always want to push house brands. When you don't buy the flavor they push seems the alternative gets a price hike just because. Lately though he mails stuff instead of coming by on the consumables. Gas and the related are rarely on the same time table. I'm a little sporadic when I order and I tend to buy larger bulk when I do. For instance multiple wire boxes and 50 to 75 pounds of rod at a time.
As for cylinders my spare inventory makes for 4 to 6 empties of a wide variety at a given time.
Companies y'all like? Abraisives from one, welding filler from another?
