Well pump heat questions

We just bought a house and I suspect the pipe heat wrap that was on the well was non-functional.

I bought the shortest setup I could find, the directions are very specific to not leave any portion of the heated cable unrestrained, but they also specifically state not to cross, wrap, or double back more than 3'.

Below is a picture of what I ended up with. I wrapped the excess around the well pipe and terminated the end at the hose spigot at the top. The whole thing was the wrapped in foil backed rock wool insulation.

Any issues with this setup? Anything else I should add?

Normally I do more research for stuff like this, but we just moved in and the freezing temps don't care about my level of preparation.

Yeah that looks fine. It takes a lot of cold to completely freeze a 3/4" line. A little heat trace goes a long ways.

I have one section on my pressure tank/switch/gauge where I doubled back on the opposite side of the pipe with no trouble. Reminds me, I have a little insulation to put on the newest pex that heads to the shop.

Most have a light bulb that just stays on
I have used lights in the past, but with a hard freeze coming this week, and LED bulbs not putting out the heat of the old filament bulbs, I was hoping to get something I felt a bit more confident in.

The well cover itself isn't a great fit and isn't insulated, so I wanted to be sure heat was getting to the pipe.

Tonight should be a good test, weather man says 20's!

It'll be fine short/medium-term, but I'd set a reminder to check it once in a while, maybe replace it after a few years.
