A group of us went from work. Had a blast, even though it was raining. The track was slick but fun. Every one was spinning out in the corners. The carts were 390cc. They would run around 60-62mph in the downhill straight away. I highly recommend going. http://gopromotorplex.com/index.cfm

Do they let you race wheel to wheel or is it single lap times on the arrive and drive?

It's wheel to wheel. We had 10 carts going at once. We were walkins, paid money, listened to a quick safety speech, got our helments and went racing. It's a nice .7m road course. They keep up with each persons lap times and at the end they show the results for the group. Each race is 10mins and they let us race pretty aggressively.

I did summit point's go kart track in the rain, they yellow flagged me every time I spun out and almost kicked me out for spinning out. It was still a ton of fun.

We went there last year for a company outing. The Track and the carts are awesome! Short of being an idiot and or purposely causing problems on the track, they let you go at it pretty hard. I highly recommend it. We went on a dry hot day and those little bastards will fly and hang a corner!

Yes I was the Stig's ECORS cousin

If I remember correctly its $10 cheaper to go when it's less than 50 degrees.

My laps in the rain were in the 80sec range. We going next Wednesday about 10am. There is about 20 of us from work going

It's much faster in person than on a video, especially when your ass is 1.65" off the ground.

We did 12 min practice, 12 min qualifier, 12 min pole position race.

I had 2nd position on pole. And then they decided to invert the line up. That was awesome. Started 7th out of 8. Granted by turn 2 I was 3rd and by end of lap 1 I was in second again.

Then swapped 1st 2nd with the same guy about 4 times through the race. Ended up second place. But it was a hell of a fight!
