Yep...My son (teen) has been asking me to go with him to the gym.
He quit complaining about chores and other agreements so we started today.
First off shoot me....I'm out of shape.
I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow but I'll sleep good tonight.
My main concern was that everyone would be ripped and buff. There were some people that were enviable but 30 percent were fatter than me:bounce:

There was a defibrillator on the wall and thankfully I didn't have to use it.

My son asked me to set.a.goal
His is a six pack. Mine is a 4 pack.

I strength train mainly because I like it better than cardio and also because I'm not an IG model who needs to look that good. I took about a month off and when I went back it was dumb. I couldn't hardly walk for about three days afterwards. Stick with it. As long as you have a buddy it won't be too bad.

I have always tried to get a 6-pack. In the end, I just ended up with a keg.

Obviously been a while since I hit a gym, but last time I 'got back in to it', I thought I could just pick up where I left off. I forgot how parts of my body worked for the next week, I was so sore.

Ha!
Yeah, I'm feeling it today but it actually is pretty good. I like the reminder in certain muscle areas that something is happening.
When I was in my teens I ran 6 miles, biked 5 miles and worked out in between the two for about 2 hrs. I did that 5 days a week.
Now I just want to get my kinda ripped one more time.
There are too many times in my life where I've said' I wish I had started this 1-2-3 years ago."
