Only caveat I might add to their simulations... what if the put heat sinks on the panels, that pushed the heat into the ground? If they are talking about covering 50% of the Sahara with panels, obviously cost isnt any issue for them.

i truly wonder if they went back and looked at the rain/ snow fall over an entire year in these western river systems over the last 50-60 years how much of a drought they are really in. most of these rivers that flowing into these reservoirs arent small and rely on snow melt so it cant be a localized problem.

i wonder if its truly a drought or if we are over using the same amount of resources and blaming it on drought.

And it could be a little of both.
 
Man, if only California was closer to a huge body of water they could use. Hmm. Now the interior states do have a significant problem and I hear the ranchers are dumping their cattle now because there is nothing to graze on. I've been in Oklahoma a few times recently and found out the feds are paying folks to keep wild mustangs on their property. I've never seen so many horses. I wish they were keeping cattle, horse sticks to your teeth.

Then the ranchers take them to the slaughter house and make money. So many people get pissed about that:lol: Wild horses in the west are a real problem, and the “friends of wild horses” type people don’t actually help the issue.
 
Looks like most of the lakes we drove by In Idaho, Utah and Wyoming a couple weeks ago. A couple where dry enough we saw campers and RV's camping out on the lake beds.
