Western NC gear installers?

Anyone in WNC that can set up gears? I just gernaded the pinion in my 14bolt. I'm disappointed to say the least but I need to get this fixed. The only place I know is Asheville Powertrain.

Do you think a first timer could set it up? I feel pretty mechanically inclined and feel that I posses some pretty good shop skills.

I am sure there are places up that way to set up gears and such, I just don't know them. If you wanna drive an hour and a half east, there is Mintons Automotive in Granite Falls (just north of Hickory) David Minton is the guy to talk to there. and there is also Town and Country tire in Mountain view(just south of Hickory) Jason Lacky is the go to guy there. Both do good work.

I would say that he does, but I would call him and ask. He does good work I would trust him to set up gears in anything I have.

i'd second jody. he's done probably 2000 sets of gears. i know he's done 5 pairs of axles for, me without problem. A real standup guy!

Called him today and it's in the works. Really nice guy and can't wait to deliver the axle. Thanks for the recommendation.
