i put my jeep in a deep mud hole and ruined my carpet a few months ago. took it out and did the truck be liner. i have noticed since i did this that every time it rains my floor board on the front drivers side fills with water, enough that i have to take out the drain plug or i will be splashing around. anyone else have this issue? what might it be and where might it come from and how can i fix it for free to cheap?

driver's side...that's odd, usually its the passenger side, HVAC leaks, either the drain gets plugged and backs up, or the seal between firewall and HVAC box degrades.

I can't think of anything where removing the carpet may have caused a problem. Check the windshield seal, or maybe the roof rack hardware is loose, allowing water inside. Dry it out, climb inside, and have someone hose it down while you look for leaks. Work from the bottom up.

The way I found my leak was by putting and moving a hose around all the seals while I crawled around inside looking. Helps to have someone outside moving the hose while you search inside. Mine was my secondary door seal. Unless its a windshield seal it's definitely something you can find and fix your self.

It's probably leaking along the door or windshield. Tape some toilet paper along the door and windshield and use a water hose to find where it's coming from.
