I’ve done a quick Marketplace search so I’ve got an idea of what I think ballpark is but wanted to check with our locals who likely have a better thumb on the market. Owner is upgrading to a Cat259D so this one has gotta go. @jeepinmatt @braxton357 & y’all tag others in the know on used equipment

Details:
2001 S185 with ~1770hrs.
Hand & foot controls
Enclosed cab with heat & AC (both work great & heat will run you out)
Comes with tooth bucket

Clearly the answer is tree fiddy!

As is, list for $20k and aim for $18k. But I’d give it a bath, mask off the stickers, and paint the black part of the cab. Then list it for $24k and hope to get about $20-21k.

Damn, that's higher than I would have guessed. I assume the enclosed cab and a/c makes a big price difference.

Not trying to hijack the thread but is it yours or someone you know you’re selling for? I was thinking 14k. I have noticed the price of equipment has been dropping a little lately. I have been looking for a skid steer for awhile so I’m watching the market

Enclosed cab, AC, and the big thing is only 1700hrs. Put it up at 3-4k hours like most of em and it’s a $15k machine. Hard part might be finding someone who wants a low hours 20 year old wheeled machine though.

It’s my cousin’s but I’ve prob used it for 500 of those hrs & the rest he uses for light grading & moving materials around his job sites (he’s a small GC in High Point).

Nothing better to add but this gives me hope for when its time to unload our LS190 with only 1320 hrs.
I have a special affinity for New Hollands since my first skidsteer was one. Unfortunately they are only worth about 1/4 what a Bobcat is worth cuz they ain't got Bob-tach and a faded picture of a cat on the side. I'll give you $4000 for it to save you the headache of Facebook :D

@rcalexander105 Here's how much difference a minimal effort on paint makes (nothing fancy, just pressure wash, purple power, and some black paint on top):

The lower half of mine was much worse, but an hour or two of effort with a sander and some paint made a big difference.
